Why would you have a speed limit sign for only 5 mph? I agree that maybe the area is full of pedestrians and such, but why can’t it be more than just 5? That’s too slow…

  1. Agreed. 5 mph is ridiculous, especially because I imagine it refers to cars. Let’s say you run a marathon in 3 1/2 hours. That’s 8 minutes a mile which equates to 7.5 mph. That’s not sprinting. That’s running. This sign is essentially prohibiting running. Under what circumstances would greater than 5 mph be prohibited?
